MD - Havre de Grace...A Visit to Old Stomping Grounds

Bright Spot -   My friend Sherri, an exceptional vocalist who performs regularly in Harford County, MD and surrounding areas, inspires her audiences with her soulful voice, expert guitar playing and purity of heart!  As if this gift isn't enough, she also has a creative flair for artsy and eclectic craft projects.  Her most recent endeavor is designing and creating gorgeous one of a kind trinket boxes.  Sherri paints, decoupages and adorns mini boxes with vintage jewelry elements, Swarovski crystals, pictures, pearls, etc.  So much loving care is put into each masterpiece.  I bought one from her last week and have placed a special order box for a friend!!!  She even delivers anywhere in the U.S.

Whenever I return to Maryland, I always make an effort to visit Havre de Grace.  It holds many kinds of memories for me.  Some of the best are the great views of the Susquehanna River from the Promenade.  So this visit was no different...always delightful!

MD - Lohr's Orchard for Apple and Pumpkin Picking

OMG...turn your back for 1 second...LOL

Reflection of a flower

What a perfect day!  Rachel, Megan and I went to Lohr's to pick apples, taste cider, pick us some pumpkins and act silly!!!  The weather was spectacular!  We caught hay wagon rides to and from the orchards that were filled with adorable wide-eyed children!  Feeling like a child myself, I was quite taken with the flowers of the pumpkin vines.  They had a whole new appeal for me...I think it was because they represent the transformation from seed to blossom/fruit!  Whatever the reason, I totally enjoyed being in their company!

A New Marvelously Unexpected Chapter in the Adventure

"The beauty of love is that you can fall into it with the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time, suddenly and ecstatically."  Not just an interesting quote...an actual reality!
After I spent 4 months being held up in Florida because of my scooter accident and broken heel, I met the most wonderful man at a campground in Georgia that I didn't plan to go to and now we are going to travel the rest of the country together!  For two people who were in no way looking for a partner, we sure have adjusted quite quickly and very well to the delightful idea!  I've heard it said that relationships often blossom when you least expect it and it sure has proved to be so in our case.

Carl and I will officially begin our adventure together on Monday, October 26th.  We will spend the rest of 2015 at Myakka State Park in Sarasota, FL, drive to MD for him to meet my family in January and then head south and west across the country for the winter.  I am so grateful for this "blessed surprise" and I am so looking forward to diving into my'new life.'
